What a gorgeous family in a gorgeous home… all the gorgeousness. How lucky am I. It was out to Mount Waverley for some sweet pregnancy photography this week. The last time I photographed this family little Quinn was not quite two. Now she is nearly three and just about to become a big sister. I think she will make a wonderful big sister and I can’t wait to head back next time for some family photography when this threesome become a foursome.

It is always such an honour to photograph a repeat client. It was a lovely sunny morning when I headed over to Glen Iris to photograph the gorgeous newborn Ted along with his big brothers and mum and dad. I adore both newborn photography and family photography, and combining the two like this is just my favourite. Ted was an angel, but wrangling a 5 year old and a 3 year old was another matter all together. And it made for the best photos. I loved it. Oh, and how about that bed… insert heart eyes here!
My new favourite way to photograph families. Story Telling Sessions. Real Life. It was lovely to catch up with the Ryans over pancakes for breakfast. After breakfast there were stories and bubbles in Quinn’s bedroom. Then the sun came out and I followed them into the garden for a play with Izzy, their beautiful chocolate lab. Finally it was back inside for a dance to Daddy’s guitar and then some cuddles on the bed. Pure fun. Pure love. Real life.

Time is something I have been reflecting on a lot this week. This little man, my baby William, turns one in a couple of weeks and I still really can’t believe it. This time last year I was SO pregnant, he was born nine days late and by that stage I was well and truly ready for him. How the time over those nine days felt so long, yet this past one year has just gone so fast… too fast. Oh my sweet baby how I wish I could keep you little for longer.
